Its 1889, deeply closeted Cecil du Petrie is poised to take his place as the posh heterosexual gentleman in Victorian high society when his parents die leaving him bankrupt. With his survival at stake, Cecil reluctantly goes undercover at a pornography shop in Holywell Street, the Soho before Soho of Victorian London and goes on a coming out journey, finding the queer acceptance he needs in his surly but kind manager and a colourful cast of customers in this Victorian historical dramedy.
